The absolute best way to lose 100 pounds

An assortment of colorful healthy foods mixed together, representing the absolute best way to lose 100 pounds is by simply eating healthy foods.

I’m sure you have seen an endless number of articles that offer a long list of “ways to lose weight”.

Some of this advice can be a little overwhelming… and the results that come from trying to focus on 50 little things, instead of a few of the most important aspects of weight loss, are underwhelming.

Just the other day I think I saw an article that said “100 ways to lose a pound”, and although I’m sure it was an interesting read with logical advice, I figured I’d flip the script, and write an article about one great way to lose 100 pounds!

In addition to lots of bad advice that you will find in the online weight loss world… you will also often find too much mediocre advice.

All of the confusion of getting too much information can lead us to believe that weight loss is much more complex than it is.

Is it difficult? You bet.

Complex? It really doesn’t have to be.

Okay so are you ready to hear the one thing you need to know to lose 100 pounds?

Okay here goes.

Eat More Whole Foods

Okay so half of you are thinking, “can it be that simple!?” And the other half are thinking, “What are whole foods?”

First of all, yes, it really is that simple. If you were to summarize my whole website into 4 words, it would be, “Eat more whole foods.”

But let’s get into what whole foods are and why they are so perfect for sustainable, hunger-free weight loss.

Eating whole foods for weight loss

Learn how to lose 100 pounds in a super simple and effective way. See why healthy eating is all you need to focus on if you want to start losing weight | TheShapeWithin.comWhole foods, are foods that are in their most natural, unmodified form.

Think of fruit coming directly from the tree… a vegetable right from the ground… brown rice and nuts straight from the plant… and meat in it’s whole form before it is ground.

All of these foods are as they were when they grew from the earth, just as they would have been eaten/harvested before being widely modified by manufacturers.

The qualities of these foods offer amazing fat loss benefits for a variety of reasons.

Our bodies are made to burn fat and waiting at the ready to do so, if only given the proper fuel and internal conditions to do so.

Returning to our natural human diet does exactly that. Whole foods lack the unhealthy additions that make us fat, while having the following positive qualities that promote fat loss:

#1- Whole foods are low in calories, yet high in nutrients

#2- Most whole foods digest slowly, and do not spike insulin. This means less fat storage, more fat loss, and less frequent hunger.

#3- Most whole foods are very filling, despite being low in calories

All of these things things allow to to enjoy hunger-free weight loss when you dedicate to improving your diet consistently.

How whole food makes you lose weight

At first it can be hard to embrace the concept of eating lots of healthy food to lose more weight.

For years we were taught to eat less, to lose more.

But once you have a basic understanding of how healthy food causes weight loss then it makes it easier to dedicate to a program, and easier to make healthy decisions.

The great thing about this is that you don’t have to throw out everything you know about calories… you simply don’t have to count them.

Your current size/shape is how your body has struck a balance with your current diet content and calorie consumption.

If you need to lose 100 pounds, this article will help you start losing a lot of weight by eating healthy, whole foods | TheShapeWithin.comSo as you already know, when you reduce your calories (burn more than you consume), you will begin burning fat. This is a very true thing, that cannot be untrue in any diet, good or bad.

But the thing is that when you only focus on reducing calories and not improving your diet content, it leads to feeling hungry, losing muscle, and not being able to maintain your progress.

This happens because the typical unhealthy diet is very high in calories, and low in good satisfying nutrients. These qualities are what cause rapid weight gain and a constant hunger that never seems to be satisfied… and so when you try to cut calories when eating like this you will get really hungry and begin to associate weight loss with mental pain and pure impossibility.

I have been down that road many times when I was much younger, before I understood the right way of doing things.

However, just the opposite happens when you add more whole foods into your daily eating habits.

By satisfying your hunger with natural foods, you actually reduce your calorie consumption and get MORE nutrients/ volume of food, which means losing weight and not only feeling “not hungry” but actually feeling more satisfied than when you were gaining weight.

You don’t even have to make a giant overnight change or to strive for perfection.

All you have to do is constantly add more healthy foods into your diet on a weekly basis, and you’ll constantly reduce your daily calorie consumption naturally, allowing your body to burn its own store of fat.

As you add healthy foods into your diet, you easily reduce your consumption of junk foods without the stress trying to actively “quit” junk food. Instead of trying to endure your cravings, you actually take care of them at the source with healthy food.

You constantly remain in a healthy calorie deficit when your current diet content constantly improves! Your body’s shape and size will strike a new balance with your reduced consumption of calories and increased consumption of nutrients, which means being thinner and stronger.

How to start eating more whole foods to lose weight

Possibly the most important word in the statement “Eat more whole foods”, is the word “MORE.”

So many people who have the right method, start their healthy diet strong… but give up too soon because they couldn’t sustain the complete overnight change that they made for long enough to see their results stacking up over time.

You can lose weight at a rate that is very exciting, and be way less than perfect… if you can be consistent with your efforts.

Being consistent with healthy eating means constantly improving your eating habits over what they previously were.

It doesn’t mean you can’t slip up once in a while… as a matter of fact you should plan to give yourself room to breathe both for hard times, and in times of celebration.

When you give in to your cravings, don’t feel like you ruined everything, simply focus on the big picture of how you have improved in the past week, keep your confidence, and stay on track.

So don’t try to be perfect, and also remember that you can simply focus on ADDING foods into your diet, and adopt an abundance mentality/ ditch your restrictive mentality.

Eating Healthy Becomes Natural

100 pounds sounds like a long time to be “on a diet” but when you are losing weight the healthy way by eating natural whole foods, instead of restricting… your healthy diet becomes another natural part of your life.

So don’t worry that you will always have to struggle with discipline and willpower.

After you develop habits, reaching your goals and maintaining your new healthy body afterwards will become a much easier, more natural thing.
